About Pilgrim Treatment Center

Pilgrim Treatment Center started at 100 River Street in Braintree in the early 1970's as a daytime drop-in center for at-risk adolescent boys. In 1978, Life Resources purchased a residential property on 140 Adams Street in Braintree to provide a residential treatment program maintaining the River Street property as a school. In 1983, a new school building was constructed adjacent to the Adams Street residential program and was named Medeiros Hall in honor of Cardinal Medeiros. The residence was dedicated to the memory of a former resident, Donny Higginson.

Pilgrim Treatment Center is the only long term residential program of Life Resources serving male adolescents. In addition to offering intensive clinical services and residential programming components, the Pilgrim Treatment Center has a complete woodworking shop fully equipped to offer the students a "hands on" opportunity to provide them valuable job skills and a resume of practical experience.
